Includes one each of the 8"x8", 8"x16", 16"x16" and 16"x24" molds. This set of molds makes the four tiles needed for the Opus Romano Pattern using 12 tiles of mixed sizes. They are as in the WS-1003-OR Set, with the addition of the 16"x24" Mold. The pattern measures a nominal 48"x48" square, or 16 square feet of area. These can be made one size at a time per pour with this set of molds. Or you can get our #WS-4000 Mold Set which includes multiples of these molds as needed to make the complete pattern with only one pour, saving time and effort.

The "HOW TO" process is so simple... virtually anyone can do it!

It's like making a cake! But no oven is needed!

HERE'S HOW...

1. Lubricate the molds... a light vegetable oil will do if you don't have mold release.

 

2. Mix a bag of pre-mix concrete… get a shovel, water, and something to mix it in.

 

3. Add some concrete color, which is optional… unless you want just plain gray.

 

4. Pour mix into molds… vibrate a bit to compact concrete and release air bubbles.

 

5. Let the filled molds sit a day or so, undisturbed… over-night is fine.

 

6. Carefully flip the molds over the next day… and pop out what you’ve created from the mold!

Photo #1 illustrates the Opus Romano Pattern using these four sizes. In photo #2 the actual Opus Romano square pattern layout is illustrated, then the Interlocking Pattern. And photos #4-#7 are of the actual individual tiles that can be produced from the molds in this set. These are finished in a burnt orange finish using yellow base and a oak wood stain. A photo of the finished wall is next, and then a mixture of different colors and sizes are illustrated.
